The IR-M2700 Series is
fiber optic on-line thickness meters for the measurement
of thickness of polymer films and of coating volume
of papers and polymer films utilizing the infrared absorption
of moisture. The sensing part is a fiber optics and
can be installed at narrow space and high temperature
environment.
Converting capabilities
are built into the compact designed detector unit for
easy installation and operation. Maximum 99 calibration
curves can be stored into memory for many applications.
The unit can be used by itself or by combining with
personal computers as an analog output and a communication
function are provided with.
A setting display unit
connectable with maximum 9 detector units can set various
kinds of setting items of the detector unit and displays
moisture value.

Features
- High sensitive fiber
optics
The measurement is stable
by high sensitive fiber optics. A reflection type
fiber optics with lens can measure objects at long
measuring distance.
- Compact sensor part
The compact and lightweight
sensing part using the fiber optics can be used at
narrow spaces and places where the direct sighting
is difficult.
- For location in environment
at 150°C
Any water-cooling in the
environment at 150°C is not required by the heat-sensitive
fiber optics.
- Setting display unit
The setting display unit
has a front panel of 96 x 96 mm and can connect with
up to 9 sets of the detector unit. The communications
interface between the setting display unit and the
detector unit is by RS-485.
- Protective structure
conforming to IP-65
The enclosure of the detector
unit and the front panel of the setting display unit
conform to IP-65 for severe atmospheric condition.
